Today I am reviewing the Santa Maria, Plan 2 model of Stonegate at 205 Kempton. Parking for guests is off the street in front of the home. I have reviewed this same model at 205 Mayfair, which is still for sale for $627,888 after being on the market for over 100 days, but does not have the same amount of upgrades as 205 Kempton.

This Plan 2 model is a two level home with an atrium and spacious garage. The home is currently vacant with staged furniture to view the potential of the home. Upon entering, there is no formal foyer. You enter directly into the middle of a great room. To the left is the dining room and kitchen and to the right is the living room and atrium. A hallway sits straight ahead with the bathroom, staircase and desk area. The first floor has wood laminate flooring nicely flowing throughout the kitchen, dining, living and bathroom. Custom window coverings decorate the large windows and there are plenty of recessed lights.
The dining room can fit a smaller dining table. The door opening towards the dining room limits the size of the area, as well as the white built-ins found on the far wall of the dining room. The kitchen island separates the dining room from the kitchen. The island has space for a couple of bar chairs. The kitchen features Caesarstone countertops, white cabinetry and stainless steel appliances. There are plenty of cabinets and counter space, and unlike other Plan 2 models that lack a pantry, this home features a floor to ceiling pantry.
The living room is a decent size with a set of large windows facing out to the front and a large sliding glass door on the back side that opens to the atrium. The atrium is a standard size and can fit a small table with chairs for relaxation or entertaining.
The hallway has a coat closet and a large window on the right looking out to the atrium, with a built in desk under the window. The white cabinetry matches the kitchen and bathroom and includes cabinets and drawers for office use. At the end of the hallway is the garage entrance which opens up to a two-car space.
On the left of the hallway is the bathroom and staircase. The powder room has nice wallpaper, a single sink with a Caesarstone countertop matching the kitchen. Unique to the bathroom is that the far wall, past the toilet is a storage closet which sits under the staircase.
On the way upstairs, the wall along the stairs has a built-in bookcase. On top of the staircase is a small loft area that has a built-in desk. A large window brings in an abundance of light into the area. To the right is a hallway leading to the bedrooms. On the right is a set of linen closets. Across from the linen closet is a single closet door which is equipped with a Whirlpool stackable washer/dryer combo.
The secondary bedroom is a standard size with two sets of windows on two adjacent walls. There is a closet with dual sliding doors. The bedroom has an attached bathroom with a single sink and a large tub/shower combo. The backsplash is nice 1×1 tile, which is also found accenting the tub/shower surround.
Across the hall is the master bedroom. The master bedroom is on the smaller side but can nicely fit a bed, nightstands and a television/armoire. It has high ceilings and a walk-in closet located in the bedroom. The bathroom has nice wallpaper, laminate wood flooring and an upgraded backsplash which accents the tub surround. In addition to the double sinks, large tub and a nice sized shower with a bench, the separate toilet has additional cabinetry above the toilet. A window with plantation shutters sits above the tub, which brings in natural light into the area.
Overall this home is nice with the extra loft space, built-in desk on the first floor, the upgraded floors and tile, and the atrium. From the other homes with the same layout, this home has nice upgrades, especially the pantry in the kitchen, the flooring and upgraded backsplash in the bathrooms. The home is walking distance to Stonegate Elementary School and the community amenities.
