Someone went to a hardware store, picked out those colors, painted the house and thought, “That looks nice.”

Something that ugly doesn’t just happen, you know.

I know this house across the street from SA High School. I got my parking ticket in front of this house. No parking there on Thursday morning from 10-12. I think the owner high jacked a Cal Tran paint truck.

It doesn’t ‘just happen’. It requires just the right type of acid.

It’s a bathroom, not the kitchen. A REALLY BIG bathroom. Photo from inside the bathroom shows the tub and you can see the bed through the same door.

Wow. The friggin’ bathroom has a center island.

Was it just me, or did anyone else’s mind go to a naughty place when they saw that bathroom counter island?

Because until you have had one, you never knew you needed a pipe organ.

Link to home.

I’m beginning to second guess moving to Fullerton. What’s up with all these freaky Church houses? Did you see the baptismal house in Fullerton I posted before?

You can drive down to your tennis court (or be driven by your chauffeur), but you still cannot hire a property seller who knows how to run a spell check:

What the Owner Loves: A very luxuries house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Interesting…the owner picked it up for $4 million and change and now wants 13x that amount?  They really want to hit the lotto with this home.  For $50 million I want to be on the beach with 20 acres.

I honestly don’t think it looks that bad.  Kind of a cheerful way to start the morning.

Odds are they bought land, or bought a teardown home.  Those prices were in 97.

Based on the picture on redfin, it also appears they bought multiple tracts, and that $4mil is probably what they paid just for the first one (or one set… maybe bought 2 tracts, then added more), if that land wasn’t developed… or maybe   Looking at the property lines in Zillow, I’m guessing they own maybe 5 tracts of land.

SC -> care to pull up the loan docs on this bad boy for us smile

You think the spelling is funny… here’s an even better one, I googled that address… it has its own website  however, it appears the agent has not made payments to their ISP on other addresses they owe…?

It also appears to be used in CSI Miami

Believe it or not but the property has $0 debt….that’s right, free and clear ownership baby.  Tax records indicate that a 31,415 sf home was present when it was purchased in 1997.  Another interesting point is that the owner actually has another mailing address in Pasadena.

Ok, 2 interesting price movements in convenant hills today…

4 Fox Hole dropped $6,000 dollars (On a $2.5mil home)

However taking the cake in trivial price drops… we have a new winner:

3 San Jose dropped $112 today (on $2.5mil)

I’ll cut 3 San Jose some slack since the owner is already selling the price $1,750,112 below what they bought the home for less than 2 years ago.  Ouch.

I know the Nellie Gail Castle has been on the market for a long time… was curious what the deal with this house is.

If I remember correctly, it was in foreclosure a while back, and doing some googling, appears like it might be bank owned…?  I remember when it was in foreclosure, I looked it up on realtytrac, and I believe the owner was running some sort of car audio business (which was in the bankruptcy process)...  Interestingly, when I just drove past the house a few hours ago, it is still occupied, and there is an SUV parked in the driveway which had some logo on the back of it for some audio place.  (not sure if its the same or not).

I’m curious… is the original owner still living in the home?  I kinda remember him having some equity in the home (I think he owed $3mil on it, and was listing it at $6mil at the time… right now its listed a bit over $5mil)... would a bank do something like this… that if the owner has equity, while they try to sell the house, they let the owner continue to live in it, and use the equity as rent payment or something like that?

Interesting house… not my cup of tea.  Definitely has traffic noise.  Has one of the nicest entertainment rooms I’ve seen, although I thought the theater room was a bit small.  Interesting tidbit on the house… its basically 2 homes, sounds like when it was built the family had the inlaws live in half the house… they were telling me the way its designed its basically 2 homes in one, and that you could close off the 2 homes for privacy…  it was like 2 years ago when I saw it, so I forget the logistics of how it was done.

Another Nellie Gail home I’m curious on…

25468 Nellie Gail.  Realtytrac has this home listed as a NOD 3/27/09.  What’s more interesting is if you google that address, you get this hit    I’m not an expert on any of this, just someone with access to Realtytrac and Google.  Curious if anyone here knows any more on this story?

Interstingly on the NOD, looks like there were 2 loans… one from Wells fargo, and one from the previous seller.

The original owner still appears to live there (the Mercedes SUV mentioned in that doc was parked out front a few weeks ago)

This house was on the market a few years back by Lloyd Gass.  It was your typical Nellie Gail home in that it looked a bit dated… it looked like it was remodeled recently but with, well, some interesting taste.  It still had alot of the original wood that is typical in Nellie Gail homes.  It had one of the nicest (if not the nicest) floorplans I’ve seen in Nellie Gail, if you could get past the green carpeting, copper ceiling, orange wood, and prayer room.  Huge bedrooms, and a great bonus room.  The “guest wing” was a bit awkward, but nothing that couldn’t easily be fixed.  Unlike many homes in Nellie Gail, the back yard was flat and useable… it wasn’t landscaped very well (pool room that was falling apart, a crappy pool, and one structure which I really have no clue what it was…)  But it was a home that had tons of potential…  I know when the current owner moved in, they did a ton of remodeling on it… I think there was construction stuff parked outside for over a year.  I’ll be curious to see what happens with this home, and if it hits the market again… if the owner did a good job remodeling, this could be a very very nice house.
