Maybe Knott’s Berry Farm will buy the house and move it to either the Log Ride or Ghost Town.

CaliGuy….I KNOW this property on Kirkwood !  It has 4 or 5 tweekers living in it (hence the tent).   For all those who are not tweeker saavy, that is an affectionate term we give those who do Methamphetamine…meth…speed…whatever you choose to call it.
This is part of my patrol area.  funny.

caycifish - how about 1.6 MILLION and no AC.  I don’t care if it’s in Newport Beach - AC should be STANDARD in this price range.

Here’s a Sacramento gem up for auction on RealtyBid.com…..the grocery cart is included with the sale.  I also noticed one auction in Garden Grove and one in Santa Ana going on as well.
RealtyBid
I especially liked these terms on the sale :
Contingencies/Terms Offered

Specific Property Disclosures: Seller will not pay buyer`s agency commission to agent acting as principal in the transaction.

Ah but there is even more at Camelot. Does it come with the knight inside? If not it is only worth $1mil then.
This place is right up the way from me. There is a bunch for sale up there. Including a $10mil foreclosure. I think I might have to grab my neighbor and go up there to see this place. I’ll bring a camera for some better pictures.

i drive on santiago canyon all the time… i’ve always noticed that house because in the front yard there is a pirate climbing up the side of the rock wall leading up to the house.  its a gorgeous place and its fascinating to see pictures of what it looks like inside and especially in the back yard.

does anyone know anything about the huge craftsman-style estate, wedged between the cemetary and gated tract home development.

Trooper - funny how that house on Kirkwood is part of your patrol area. I had figured the ppl living there were either very, very odd or doing some serious drugs. Now I know what the answer is

acpme,
Are you talking about the complex that has a security gaurd station? If so that is the $10mil foreclosure. It’s for sale for $18.9mil according to Zillow but you have to move the picture around to see it.

that is the one…  amazing house… you can see a bit of the guest house from santiago canyon which looks to be about 5000 sq ft on its own.

for those not familiar with this property, its a dream home built on a bluff overlooking a cemetery.

For awhile, something has been bothering me about calling realtors, realtards.  And now I realize what it is.  Isn’t comparing a realtor to the mentally challenged an insult to the mentally challenged?

<a ]Days on Market #1,123 in Middle of Nowhere, Nevada[/url]

I just realized that as we celebrated Phoenix’s record breaking achievement with our Buckeye pothead and his sidekick Sandtrapped flopper, we didn’t accord the same honor for their Vegas equivalent. Because whatever they are smoking over in Buckeye they are smoking in Vegas as well.

Here is the oldest listing from Vegas. As far as I can tell per google maps, we are looking at 20 miles away from civilization…

26000 STATE HWY 156, Las Vegas, NV 89138
—3 beds, 2.5 baths, 1,524 sqft on 2 acres.
—built in 1950.
—09/2004: listed for $1.3 million ($853/sqft).
—10/2007: still on market after 1,123 days.

Currently in majority of the bubble markets we are seeing a complete stalemate as the sellers and the buyers do their staredowns. Which is one reason that total SFR sales in the month of September for Vegas actually dipped below 1,000.

As entertaining as these crazies may be, they may represent a nice psychological barometer for us. The way I look at it, the day that Ted Kaczynski here actually give up and pull off his listing may actually signal the beginning of complete capitulation on the part of the sellers.

OMG, I just looked again at the 3rd photo I posted above.  They couldn’t even reach over and close the microwave door!

This Irvine property itself isn’t amusing…the fact that the owners are trying to flip it for $100k profit in four months is a little entertaining to me:
http://redfin.com/stingray/do/printable-listing?listing-id=1008235
Last sold property nearby is for about $10k less than the flippers want - sold at the end of August. But the comp is about 300 sq ft bigger (they both have 3 beds, 2.5 baths, built 1 year apart). The attempted flip has been on Redfin for 68 days so far…

I don’t know where to post this…well, an instant 1/2 million dollar loss if sold at asking price.. should be interesting enough to post here!
