How tough is it to get through?

I’m in pretty good shape, but don’t know what kind of shape you need to be in to do the race.

Did it a few years ago.  For a guy who hates running, it wasn’t that tough.  It depends on what your goal is.  To finish is a breeze.  It’s mostly flat.  Most participants just walk the few hills that are there.  It’s not as “muddy” as you would expect from the title.  But it’s fun to do with friends.  Just be prepared to throw away your socks and shoes at the end.  I ran a couple of miles a couple of times a week for about a month before the event and we easily finished in the middle of the pack, about 1 1/2 hours, and we weren’t really that tired at the end of it.

It’s not horrible - when we did it in June, we started towards the back and ended up walking and stopping a whole lot because there were just so many people and getting through the obstacles would cause a traffic jam.  If you’re competitive and want to get the best time ever, then it will definitely be challenging.  If you just want to have some fun, you will.  There are some hills that are pretty tough but hey - you can always walk if you need to.  It’s a 10k, so about 6 miles with the hills isn’t a piece of cake (IMHO) but it’s definitely doable.  Good luck!

I’ve done it a couple times and its a lot of fun…  Theres one section thats pretty steep with water running down the middle. The secret is to run right in the middle through the water, not on the sides with the ropes…

Take a look at the elevation profile:
