Fathers day Sunday and I have been told I can go to any restaurant I want. Fathers day only happens once a year and the only other day I may have this opportunity is on my birthday so I want to take full advantage of it. I have been to most of the chain restaurants in Irvine and the surrounding area. Does anyone have any suggestions as to somewhere different that I can try out? Since it is only once a year cash is not an issue but I don’t want to pay exorbitant prices for mundane food.

Rothschilds in Corona Del Mar (near PCH/MacArthur).

Park Avenue in Stanton.

My review here.

When we were there, it was early, and there were mostly families there.

I like the Beachcomber down at Crystal Cove.
