Sounds like a lot of fun. I wish I could go. Spring seems to be birthday party time among my son’s preschool classmates so I will be at a 5 year old “princess tea party” for my son’s best friend (he’ll be the only boy, he says he’s going to be the “king”). Anyway, have fun!

Forgive my naivety, but what is a meal assembly kitchen?
Hehe. Yeah, sorry about that. I didn’t want to give too much specific info regarding our whereabouts unless somebody is interested, so those are substitute code-words for where we’re going. Basically - the ingredients will already be washed, chopped, etc. for you. You use their recipes as guidelines but customize the meals to your tastes. You assemble them (the shop does all the clean-up), you take them home and freeze then bake them.

SoCal, I would love to come, but it will be a “May be” dependent on my husband’s work schedule. Sometimes he has to go to work on weekends which means I am in charge of kids.

I really like that idea. We should brainstorm some charity ideas for another get-together. Just off the top of my head… I was already thinking of volunteering at “Second Harvest Food Bank”, which I think is located here in Irvine. Here’s some info on group volunteer opportunities. Also, if you ladies like to knit or crochet or would like to learn - we can get together to create 7"x9” squares to donate to “Warm Up America”. It’s fun to make a pajama drive, but that’s not as hands-on - well, unless we all went shopping for pajamas together! Most people don’t realize that kids in the care of children’s services, do not have the simple luxury of owning a pair of pajamas. They sleep in their clothes. When the childrens’ home facilities do receive pj’s, they are usually only for the babies and the older kids get overlooked. Anyway, those are just a couple ideas. I am open to suggestions if you all have a favorite.

Just a reminder for those interested in joining us—please RSVP by this Thursday so we can get our head count. Also, I have just learned this facility wants us to place our orders in advance so you will need to visit their site and make your selections by this Saturday - the 14th! If you have been in touch with me regarding this event, I will send this information to you in a PM with specific instructions. Also, don’t forget to visit our Adventure Club page to add your name to the event there. Please let me know if you have any questions.
