We had some guy from Australia come on another board I frequent….he started rabble rousing everyone and when he got mad…He started calling us “Puffers”

I guess that means something down under…but we all laughed…...Whatever a Puffer is and why or why it is good or bad we’ll never know.

This is the same thing with the exception that calling me “Winex” is just as benign however he doesn’t have the excuse of being from another country with different vernacular

What ever…I guess I’m a “Winex”......I’m not sure if I should try to bathe or hang it on a plaque…...

If you haven’t noticed, you’ve quickly managed to annoy both liberal, as well as conservative posters here. I just don’t understand the perverse pleasure someone like you gets from joining a forum and going so far out of your way to annoy the most well-established and dare I say respected people on the forum so quickly. The majority of us who enjoy this forum, lurked for a long time, meekly began posting and gradually became comfortable enough to start really speaking our mind. In the process some of us actually learned a lot and even made friends. Why are you here?

I can actually understand that happening in OC but I live in a city in Northern Arizona with a large “gun culture” and we are low on both guns and ammo. I ordered a plain old Glock 23 and have been waiting for 3 weeks.

Any semi-auto rifle with large mags are hard to find and have doubled in price since last fall. ARs, AKs, Mini-14s, and SKSs are usually backordered.

Same with ammo and mags for these weapons. I was chatting with two police officers from Phoenix and they said things were tighter in that city. They were going to check out some shops up in this area for ammo.

As a card holding “TreeHugger” I resent the fact that us liberals are a second class
citizen to most people from Texas. But again this is California. And my Rose colored shades

As to the availability of Ammo.
Plenty of 45 Caliber at WalMart for my Sig P220 last week.
Try the WalMart in Aliso. Normally plenty on hand.

Rule of 72 says that in 24 years everything will double. Anyway, don’t mean to rag on you, but I really just don’t get what you are trying to say as your sentences are not coherent.

Exactly… which party has been in control for the last 8 years that led us to where we are today?

The Democrats had a majority in the Senate in 2001 and 2002.  Though technically the Republicans regained the majority in 2003 (through 2006), when you look at the liberal voting records of people like Olympia Snow, Arlen Spector and others, the liberals still had the stronger voice.

The Republicans did have a small majority in the House from 2001 through 2006.

From 2006 through today, the Democrats have had a majority in both the House and Senate.

Of course the Executive Branch was led by Republicans from 2001 through the beginning of 2009.

But that has absolutely nothing to do with where we are today. (Assuming here you are talking about the economy)

Are you confused about the roles of the Executive and the Legislative Branches?

Or is your confusion just related to the cause of the economic problems this country faces?
