Took my high maintenance aunt to South Coast Plaza last week, went to Vie De France, where the line is always ridiculously long for the onion soup. What do you know, there was no line at noon time! For the 1 1/2 hours we were there, there was no line ever, so we took advantage of the situation and rested our feet!
They’ve got the best chocolate croissants there.
No line?
Did you go on a weekend, that place gets jammed.
I usually wait as well, no fan of the Corner Bakery which seldom gets busy.
They moved to a new location that is not as convenient. I used to have to buy something when I’m in South Coast plaza but not anymore. The Corner Bakery in Irvine is always busy because of the UCI students.
Sorry, I mean’t the Corner bakery at South Coast Plaza adjacent to the Macy’s Men store.
Where did Vie De France move to?
Aren’t they on the first floor next to the Armani store.
Vie De France is now outside Saks. I was there Friday, but still…
And while my high maintenance aunt was at Chanel in Bloomingdale’s, they told her there’s a special. (Imagine a special deal at Chanel!!) Each $250 you spend, you get $50 gift card. That’s like 20% off!
C’mon now,
Bloomingdales is a great store.
Chanel is a great choice for your aunt.
You don’t want her wearing MAC like you right?
LOL. MAC is for RuPaul. LOL.
I don’t know about that.
Fergie was doing a promotion at the South Coast store.
She not hot enough for you?

Sorry, I only have eyes for Josh Duhamel…
Then you should’ve made it to last week’s book signing event where you could of met the OC’s and IHB version of Josh Duhamel.
I’m taller and have higher cheekbones than him.
Don’t take my word for it, read about it on some of the threads.
I really like Sprinkles cupcakes.
See you’re already half-way there.
Now, let’s see if you can close the deal.

Haha.

Allison, might I suggest you go search for a certain thread about Lennar before responding further?
In the fall, Yard House reduced the size of its desserts and cut the price in half. The new pint-size treats such as Crème Brulee and Lemon Soufflé are selling like wildfire, Herrmann said. Earlier this year, Tustin-based Mimi’s Café debuted a “Just Enough” dinner menu. Entrees are smaller and range in price from $8.29 to $11.29.
I could care less if the food is priced less…I like the idea of “Cayci Size” portions. I only ever eat half of a regular dinner so it sounds like I may be visiting Mimi’s to check it out.
Mimi’s “Just Enough” sizes are great, especially for things like their huge salads which don’t keep well. You know you can’t take the extra home to enjoy the next day anyway, so it’s nice ordering the smaller size (but the price difference isn’t that great in my opinion, just a couple bucks.)

Yeah, took my mom and a couple of her friends to Mimi’s in Irvine. She loves the quiche. Anyways, the portions are still quite sizable. Business was slow on a Saturday night. The waitress was sooooo nice and kept refilling their teas and carrot muffin. Yum. Before we left, the manager came by and gave us bunch of coupons for discounts for breakfast. Might wanna ask for that. And the nice waitress gave each one of us an extra muffin to take home!! 40% tip for her! Yea!

Your aunt must be Asian. She completely falls into the shopper demographic who like French Onion at Vie De France and Chanel.

Your aunt must be Asian. French Onion at VDF, Mimi Cafe and Chanel are the indicators of an Asian shopper. Many often mistaken Dooney and Burke and Coach. Both are popular frugal Asian handbags. Vie De France is not by Coach. Allison is right it is outside of Saks. Mr. GQ Magnet, Vie De France has relocated to its location for almost 2 years. It is obviously that you haven’t been updating your Armani attire. Have you been hanging around by Sears for the last two years?
Haha.

Hey Bk,
No I haven’t been hanging out at Sears.
I get most of my stuff at Bloomingdales now.
Since they opened around that time, stay primarily in that section of the mall
Brooks Brothers on the second floor from time to time.
Once in a while I venture to those other areas.
A few weeks back I went to the Macy’s men store to get more Prada Infusion D’Homme since Bloomingdales doesn’t carry it.

I have not been there for a while. Now that I remember D&K, my kid bought the handbag there. I did not know why she wanted to advertise for them free. I personally would not do it.

(Looks in mirror, looks at pic of aunt)
No, not Asian.
Just a proud brunette.
BTW, mom = low maintenanace = Mimi’s
aunt = high maintenance = VDF, Charlie Palmer, Chanel, LV, Gucci, Chole, ....
Haha.
