Has anyone checked out the Great Park Night Flight events? I actually went to one a couple weeks ago and there must have been at least a thousand folks watching a concert under the stars. I was actually pretty impressed by the free event. The facilities were new and clean, lots of open space for the kids, and even on site food vendor (though I just brought my own food). The balloon still is free and you can ride it in the evenings as well. For all the bad press the Great Park gets this event series is positive news for the park. I hope they continue to offer more events like this throughout the year.

Went to see Arlo Guthrie last Saturday night. It was an awesome concert and the price was right, too (free!). Didn’t buy any of the food, but someone sitting next to me said it sucked.
