Regarding the dog pooping in the yard, take a look at the listing agent’s website (http://www.marlenedietrichrealestate.com/195908.html ... which is actually his wife’s website, since he works for the Mrs.) and scroll down a bit. You will then see what appears to be the two dogs shown in the backyard picture:

bruiser.jpg

It would be funny if this were a police lineup-type of identification. “Now Bruiser, time to go poo. Good boy!“

big surprise

No. Freaking. Way.

They let their dog crap on their client’s lawn AND took a picture of it.  This is some kind of new low.  I’m not even sure what heading this falls under.  Stupidity?  Disrespect?  Unprofessional?

And I think another real question is… did they clean it up afterwards? Bad enough bringing your rat dogs over (yes, yes, they are cute, but still little rat-sized dogs), letting them poop, and then taking a picture of it. But icing on the cake would be just leaving it there. ‘Oh my, you have poop on your lawn, that wouldn’t be good for prospective buyers to see! Did the neighbor’s dog hop the fence again?‘

Marvelous find, indeed! And I love the avatar/name! MR YUK IS MEAN, MR YUK IS GREEN! WHEN YOU SEE HIM STOP AND THINK - DO NOT SMELL, DO NOT DRINK. DO NOT TOUCH, DO NOT EAT, OR YOU WILL BE SICK. MR YUK IS MEAN, MR YUK IS GREEN!  Catchiest poison control jingle ever! I thought it was regional/ Mid-Atlantic and Southern states- did they have that in OC too?

I know there are plenty of idiotic descriptions, but I found one that I like.

38 Liana Pl, Aliso Viejo

Per the description:

“esctatic stone fireplace” (nice spell check)
Ecstatic stone fireplace? I know that IR has mentioned the ‘cozy brick fireplace’, but obviously an ecstatic stone fireplace is much more desirable.

“Downstairs bedroom perfect for quest bedroom”
Hmmmm, the ‘q’ and the ‘g’ key are nowhere near each other on the keyboard, so maybe the REALTOR® really did mean ‘quest’! I’d be on a quest looking for how not to be underwater if buying this place.

(while describing the downstairs bedroom): “maids quarters or your personal office”
I really do need a maid for my 1330sqft mansion. Because not only do I have enough money to pay for and house a maid, it is a full time job

It’s also in “Alivo Viejo” according to the description. Nice proofreading there. If I were the owner I’d be livid.

Hahaha, glad you enjoyed Troop! This one was almost as good as a listing I found last year describing the 3rd story condo of a building as being the “penthouse suite”.

And I guess the REALTOR(R) had a Freudian slip there…. wanted to keep things interesting in the bedroom description.

http://www.redfin.com/CA/Orange/166-N-Pixley-St-92868/home/4409715

Listed for 418 days, when new construction is going in 1 block away (1500sq ft) for less?

Check out the Photochopped first picture…looks horrible.

http://www.redfin.com/CA/North-Tustin/12901-Dean-St-92705/home/16904752

And here’s one that’s been chasing the market - down by about 20% off of the original listing. They made 15 price changes (some increases) since May 2007.

WOW!  How much do you think that staging job cost the seller/agent on the 12901 Dean property?

I live a few blocks from the purple house.  It’s not currently used as a residence – even though is smack dab in a residential area.  It’s a big ol’ Victorian tea house.  http://www.victorianmanor.com/.  About a year ago, seller was unofficially looking for $3,000,000.

Honestly, due to its size, zoning and proximity to the Plaza and Chapman, I would say that price is not too outrageous.

60’s Charm!!

Folks, this is one of my FAVORITE streets in No. Tustin.  The decor has literally been untouched since the house was built.  It is like a time-capsule, yet you can tell it has been very well maintained.  Interesting to see what price it will fetch.

It reminds me of that movie “Blast from the Past” with Brenden Fraser.

That is cool!

It looks like no one has lived there in the last thirty years because the furniture and carpet are so clean and perfect.  I think those may be clown paintings on that one wall.  How cool is that?  I wonder if they are having an estate sale?

at the base of Red Hill Mountain and backing to a historic nature reserve

That Ranchview place is right on the foot of the cinnabar deposit, and it is possible that residents there are all mad hatters, you know. wink

Dude… I kinda like that place, but not for $1.2mil when others have been foreclosed on for the $800s. I really like the couch and the table…

P656323_3_0.jpg

I would have to change the carpet though. Well… after the IHB party. Brown doesn’t show the dirt or the stains from the spilled drinks ya know.

I, too, was having trouble getting past the carpet.  It sorta burns my eyes.

Dude…they have an organ.  I bet that made for some crazy parties once upon a time.  Or not.

My favorite ‘50s / ‘60s house.  I don’t think this one was modified since it was built.
