Go over to the Big Picture (I got there via Calculated Risk) and see Dr. Seuss on SIVs.
Hillarious.
I do not like your CDO.
I do not like it Broker Joe.
Have you met our in-house quant;
He’ll model anything you want! And so on.

I was at Home Depot yesterday. They had to open a second return line because of one customer with a LOT of stuff. He appeared to be returning a house. Lots of lumber, rolls of carpet, a front door, bunches of nails and brackets.
Maybe it was just a batch of improvements his customer decided against, but it was the biggest batch of stuff I’ve ever seen someone taking back.
If you carefully disassembled your newly built house, how much of it do you think you could return?

MOODY’S PLACES ITSELF ON NEGATIVE WATCH
Washington - Moody’s the ratings agency, has placed itself on negative watch, citing it’s horrendous track record at rating just about everything except t-bills.
"We suck. We couldn’t spot an investment-grade bond in a box of Confederacy Debentures or Continental Bank CD’s." said one source at the agency…

Was my Bush windfall just a lot of hot air?
http://www.miamiherald.com/418/story/391277.html
"Being a millionaire and all, I became painfully aware of the myriad social burdens suffered by us wealthy folk.
During the late great housing bubble, as my personal worth inflated like a cheap Miami boob job, I naturally felt obligated to peruse the editorial pages of The Wall Street Journal (talk about suffering)."

Grimm was good, but I was hoping for Dave Barry.
