I grew up in Iowa and Missouri. I moved to California for grad school at UC Irvine in Artificial Intelligence. I left before getting my PhD, but with my MS. I taught myself to program the Mac and got a job at Interplay/MacPlay making computer games for the Mac. A couple months after that I got married. Working at Interplay and Quicksilver Software, I was involved in making games such as Fallout, Shanghai Second Dynasty, and Master of Orion III.
I now work at Boeing. In 2006, with real estate being so expensive in SoCal, my wife and I moved to St. Louis. We lasted a year and a half there before moving back to SoCal. We missed it too much. We are thrilled to be back in the land of sun and sand.
