The article on the double dip in housing has this great interview with local real estate consultant John Burns:
Fear of Double Dip in Housing
“This biggest stimulus is mortgage rates…”
Three bedroom condo….Light and Bright….$729k…..Hey….Stop laughing…..Up $50k in year?....I know….I’m just agent….You want job?....Should never have left teaching….Hiding Benz from repo man….Open floor plan….Bring all offers….
thanks for the laugh
Hmm… maybe it was mistyped. It was meant to be morse code.
It meant:
. . . .. .. .. . . .
which is short for
. . . __ __ __ . . .
Or
SOS
What the realtor is really trying to do is to send an SOS to fellow realtors to bring someone in with some money muy pronto or the Benz and the Lexus go back to the bank. Sort of secret masonic deal
But in typical RE form, it got mispelled. Even in morse code.
$729K for this place is just bonkers. A little inventory shortage and all the greedy wackos start marking everything up. I’m really hoping for reality to come and put its boot on their neck.
They might get that much or more, if you go from Redfin’s recent similiar sales (although the autocomps from Zillow et al are all much lower).
If somebody is silly enough to pay that much, then the condo automatically is worth that much. And I have a feeling that might just happen.
more help is on the way. I wonder how long will this keep going on.
