At the end of Thornhurst, in Stonegate, is a two level home with a desirable ground level bedroom. The bedroom has been converted into a den. The home, an end-unit, sits next to a common green area and is in excellent condition. Being located at the end of the street provides a safer area for children to play outdoors, but on the downside, the noise from Irvine Boulevard can easily be heard over the cinderblock wall standing at the end of the Thornhurst.

Walking through the front door, the great room sits to the left with a small half wall separating the entrance area. To the right are the bathroom, staircase and converted bedroom. The high ceilings and multiple windows create an open, light feel to the home. Everything from the paint, flooring, and bathrooms are in excellent condition.

The kitchen has granite countertops, white cabinetry and an island with bar seating. The original coat closet has been converted into a wetbar with additional upper glass cabinets and a lower wine refrigerator. The appliances are stainless steel. The garage entrance is located at the back of the kitchen. There is plenty of counterspace and storage, but the kitchen lacks a floor to ceiling pantry.

Sitting between the kitchen island and the living room is the dining area. It can fit a small dining table. The living room is a standard size that could fit a couple of couches and an entertainment center.

The private patio is surrounded with cinderblock and is completely hardscaped. The area is large enough to have a bar-b-que and a small outdoor dining set for entertaining. I prefer this home’s model with the private patio over other models with an atrium or balcony.

Currently the bedroom on the ground level has been converted into a family room. The wall has been partially opened up, creating a view to the rest of the great room. The bedroom’s closet and door have been removed, but a door could easily be added again if a bedroom was desired.

Outside of the bedroom is a bathroom with a single sink and spacious shower with a bench. It is a simple bathroom with white counters, cabinetry and shower surround.

The secondary bedroom has an attached bathroom. A large window brings in an abundance of natural light. It is a decent size room with a privacy door at the bathroom. Natural light shines into the bathroom through a small window. Like the bathroom downstairs, there is a single sink with white counters and cabinetry, however this bathroom comes with a large tub/shower combo.

Three large windows bring in plenty of light into the master bedroom. It is a nice size room with a door to the walk-in closet and a privacy door at the bathroom. The bathroom has a linen closet, dual sinks with upgraded tile backsplash, a large soaking tub and a shower. A window sits above the soaking tub. The upgraded accent tiles adds a nice look to the space.

80 Thornhurst is move-in ready. Although the home is earshot from the noise of Irvine Boulevard, it sits near the end of the street and has a green open space next to the front door. The home is also close to the amenities and is walking distance to Stonegate Elementary School. A ground floor bedroom is highly sought after, along with a private outdoor patio area.
